Barrel question.

Can I use a 3 inch barrel on a gun that has a 3.5 in reciever? I'm looking for a slug barrel for a winchester SX2 and can only find the 3 inch barrel. Thanks.

If it fits I believe you can. I use a regular 870 barral on my 870 super mag for deer hunting. I asked Rem about it and they said it would work just fine just do not used 3 1/2 inch slugs (don't even know if they make them)

Thanks, I thought that was how it worked, I know you can't go the other way, 3.5" to 3", but I wasn't sure.

You should check with the manufacturer they can tell you what it will fit and won't. Just because it worked on an 870, that doesn't mean it will work on an SX2...
