septic system

bhs91

Question

My septic system is not backing up, but it is also not working properly. I can see the area around the tanks has some water leaking out, at times, but the drainfield must be partially working since it is not backing up into the house. Has this happened to anyone before? Will it correct itself when the weather warms? We just bought the house last July, it is only 10 years old and it passed the inspection last summer. We are do for City sewer and water in 2-3 years so I would not like to stick money in it if I don't have to. However, if i need someone to look at it, does anyone know a reliable septic guy in the brainerd area?

Thanks,

BHS

It's most likely the frost depth this year,Your leach, drain, mound,Whatever is freezing up Have it pumped and by warm weather it should work.If that does'nt work then call in someone.Next year use leaves, straw, something to insulate it,Not so much the drain field but the pipe leading to it. And your system is backinhg up if its flooding out of the tank.
