Lost plastic card for MN Lifetime License

wx_nut

Question

To sum it up, I lost my little plastic card that had my lifetime number on it.

I still have a copy of my 2006 license, however I would like to get my new license so incase I am ever able to shake this this cold I can get out and enjoy some time on the ice.

From what I have heard they can look up your number via your MN drivers license. Only catch is, about 2 years ago I moved out of MN, so I no longer have a MN DL.I did check the MN DNR webpage, and I didn't see any information regarding 'what to do!', so I am turning here for help.

I can still try to keep digging in boxes upon boxes, and behind the desk, but where I thought the plastic card was, it wasn't.

Thanks!

wx nut,

on the copy of your 2006 license there is a MDNR number.

This number is assigned to you from the DNR and should not change in your life time.

As bobb-o instructed, call the 1-800 number and give them your MDNR number and explain the situation and you should have a new card issued per a re-issue fee.

Good Luck...

I have a relative that actually works in that department at the DNR and i kind of have the same problem, I am at college and my card is at home and my parents dont want to send it in the mail. My relative said she did not know the answer to that question. Just to go to an ELS staition with my current license and give it a whirl. If it doesn't work i will just have to wait until the next time I go home.

Thanks for all the assistance everyone! I called the DNR, and they said it wouldn't be a problem - just bring in my DL and a copy of my old license, and it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for all the help!

Fish on!
