Best Place to Find Trails to Ride up North??

Me and a couple buddy's are trying to get together a trail ride weekend and was wondering if there was a good HSOforum out there that you guys use to find some trails? Thanks for the help guys.

You should start with the DNR HSOforum but if you haven't been near a TV in few days there is a snow storm coming this weekend and I think traveling north might be a tuff go. Plus any ATV thats out there this time of year and with the snow were suppose to get might have some snowmobile traffic on them.

I am looking to set this up in late march or early april. Nothing in the near future. Too much ice fishing left

Chengwatana, Namaji, St Croix, General Andrews are all State parks with nice trails, Some are open year round.

you have a good point about "some" are open year round. MN has only a couple trails that are open this time of year. Most others are only open from May-November.

It's best to keep an eye on the trail status via the DNR HSOforum or to call the regional office for trail updates. Some are usually closed due to conditions which are too wet, too dry, trail maintenance, or as we all know, LEGAL ISSUES.

check the DNR site to see whats opened and closed. I know many trails are closed till may or just before then due to the frost coming out and the ground too soft.

there are some trails open late march since the ground is still forzen.
