Bathtub Surround

I've got to replace a bathtub surround. I've been looking at them and they cost anywhere from $35 to $1000. What do I really need and what don't I want? All input appreciated. The wife says I can't go fishing again until I get this job done.

I would definately get a one piece so you don't have to mess with caulking all the seams. If you are going to replace your tub also you might want to get one that has the tub and surround all in one piece, then you won't have to take anymore time off from fishing to mess with re doing anything.

Just make sure you can fit any/all improvements through your existing door before you rip the old out!c63

I got a 3 piece at menards for bout $60.00 took about 2 hrs. I'm a retired carpenter 29yrs Exp.Glue on,Panel glue in tubes,easy quick looks real good! dont slop glue have damp rag on hand.

Yeah I have put in a few of the 3 piece ones, and they look fine and if you glue them properly they should never come close to falling off! And it isn't much caulking at all just the corners and the top, plus the way i figure you can save 100's by taking an extra 10 minutes and using a little caulk.
