A New Year's Day journey (many pics)

Hey all:

I shot today from sunup to after sundown, and here's a bit of what I found in and around Ely. Sure is nice to be able to shoot in a snowy sunny environment. Lets you keep that iso nice and low.

All handheld with the Canon 20D and Canon 100-400L IS unless otherwise specified. Enjoy, and happy New Year. There's a companion thread on the bird-watching board from today's birding images. These go in rough order from morning through afternoon and toward sunset, with the last being just as the sun was about to drop behind the trees at Shagawa Lake.

Really nice shots Steve. All those cloudy days that I could have got out and shot and it is finally sunny on the day that I am traveling home I guess its all about timing
