2000 Chev k2500

Northland Sportsman

Question

I am looking at buying a 2000 chev 3/4 ton ext. cab 4x4. Any opinions on this truck besides the chev vs. ford vs. dodge debate. I am looking for any positive or negative experiences and common problems from anybody that works on vehicles. Anything to look for or be ceareful of? I think it has about 127k for mileage. Thanks for any input in advance.

What motor?

Fuel pumps, pressure regulators, intake gaskets, a/c compressors, Auto 4wd switches, multifunction swithes, Front end parts, Rear u-joints, Front axle seals, and catalytic converters to name a few. With that many miles all of these should have been dealt with at some point so you may be in good shape. Used vehicles are always a dump shoot. Some times you win some times you loose.

I just traded my 2001 2500 off and had very little trouble with it. It had about 128k on it. It was a good truck. Had to trade it off for a crew cab since there is a little one on the way. It pulled anything I wanted and the mileage was what you would expect out of a 6.0 liter, pulling 10-12, and normal 13-16. Good truck in my opinion.
