Yes, Jr. beats Gordon in the points one out of every three years so that clearly makes him the better driver.

In Jr and Kyle's defense, there is a much better class of drivers out there in this day and age then there was 20-30 years ago. It would be quite surprising to see a driver dominate like the king and big E ever again. NASCAR is now a huge money sport and people are getting kids into racing at very early ages, similar to football and baseball etc. Long gone are the days when the dirt track guys would ever have a shot at being in the big show.
