What's the best auger for redrilling holes in a hard house?

Where can the best deal be found right now on augers?

I can only give information on two augers,

I have used the 8" strikemaster chipper blade works beautifully. and the other one that did not work well was the eskimo 2 blade, this one did not have the centering pin to hold the auger in the center of the hole.(it wanted to dance around)

I currently have the lazer auger and I have not had the chance to try it out yet, I bought the bit close to ice off, got a great deal on it. I hope it does well.

Regardless of auger, as long as it has the center point to keep it from dancing around, it should be just fine.

Where to get the best deal right now?? I could not tell you, definetly shop around, I am sure that there is going to be Christmas specials flying around. Keep your eyes open.

For redrilling holes get a chipper. Best place? Try to forsale forum here. Price bait has used augers as well. I'm sure there are plenty of other places to. Good luck

Hey Ebass have you dried out yet? I had so much water in my wheeler that I had to drain the gas twice and the oil 4 times so far. Any of your buddies intrested in the otterII ?

The Jiffy Stealth STX 2 h.p. with the ice house handle is the only way to go for that application. The stealth cutting head was designed for that purpose. I bought one this year and I couldn't be happier.

I have the eskimo 2 blade and it does not work well for redrilling holes. Fleet farm always has the stikemaster single blade for $255.

There is a post in there right now from a sponsor having a sale on Augers. Shoot him what kind of auger you want, and he will shoot you back a price. He claims even with shipping to yoru door, he thinks he can get you a better price than you can get buying locally.

As far as opening holes a Strikemaster Strike-Lite is probably one of the best because of its four-blades.

Also the Nils is a good choice.
