Question

Hey all,

Wondering if any one has any experience with these? Once set up, is it easy to tell what direction camera is pointed? Does the remote control work good? What type of battery and life do you use/get?

Thanks

I have had one for a couple of years and it works good. It is a whole lot easier than trying to find my lines and keep the camera pointed at one. I don't really pay attention to which direction it is pointing because I am normally just looking at my bait. I hook mine up to a 12v 7a battery and haven't had it go dead yet, but I really don't move it a lot. The remote has also never failed on me. I don't use it all the time because I move a lot and it is one more thing to get set up before I can fish. They would be very handy to have in a permanent house. I usually drill a hole outside my portable somewhere in between my other two holes so I can watch both of my lines.

I have one and like it very much. My only compaint is about the two wired that get hooked up to your battery. Why in the world would a company build a device designed for use in cold weather and use wires that get stiff as a frozen rope when the temp drops below freezing?? confused.gif

I agree about the wires getting stiff. I have used it in very cold temps and the only problem I have had is the camera cable freezing in and having to go out and chip it loose so that I could turn it. Other than that it has been great.

huntnfish - just a thought if you have the mopod. Once set put a 5 gal. pail over the top with a candle inside. Never tried it, but just a thought. If you do try it, maybe let us know if this is a workable solution.
