Carneal, Gordon, Gladden returning to Twins radio

Associated Press

Minnesota Twins fans will hear the same voices on the radio next season when the team's broadcasts move from WCCO-AM to the Twins Radio Network, anchored in the metro area on KSTP-AM.

Herb Carneal will return for his 46th season calling Twins games, the team announced Wednesday. He will work on a package of 36 home games. John Gordon will be back for a 21st season as the primary play-by-play man, and Dan Gladden will return for an eighth season in the booth. Kris Atteberry has been added as a studio host for pre-game and post-game shows.

...another year of listening for minutes on end, wondering what the beef the count is, much less the score... smirk.gif

"...and here's the next batter... that's a ball and the next one's fouled off and the count is 3 and 2..." -- Herb Carneal

herb is great, its gordon. its hit to left, right field. its the top of the bottom of inning. the best is when he called jenkins jenshkis. grin.gif

what bothers me is the station. I work nights, so I listen to the twins every game at work. but I know I cannot get 1500 on the radio at work, I will no longer be able to listen to the games frown.gif

what were the twins thinking, when they did not give the rights to wcco.

They will boost the signal so you probably will get the games if not you will have to get a High Definition Radio.

It was just a small amount of money that KSTP out bid CCO for the rights to the Twins.

This is one of my John Gordon favorites.."There's a drive to deep center field, way back, waaaaayyyyy back...OH IT'S CAUGHT AT THE WALL!!!" I can't tell you how many times I've thought one of the Twins had a monster "no doubt" upper deck three-run homer only to end up being caught on the warning track. I try not to get too excited now until John confirms the ball is actually in the seats. smirk.gif
