Just wondering what differences anyone knows about these cameres seems all the info I have seen or gotten on them is the Av2 has a bigger battery? But thats only thing that I can find different in them. Maybe someone in here can tell me if theres something im not seeing or if thats it. Also looks as if the scout might have nicer carrying case to it?? Just wondering please any info would be appreciated!! GL fishing to all (especially me)

Sorry dun have all the details. But between the two, I would get the Scout 2. I think the cable wrap is on top of the moniter, so it is easier to use, like in the XL. U should also consider the cabelas VS350 for $169.

The Scout 2 also has temp at the depth of the camera. If you are wondering about the difference in the lighting on the cameras, the IR is more likely to show the particles floating in the water and the SRT helps reduce that. This becomes a big deal when you are fishing in low light conditions and the lakes are turning or there is a lot of fish action on the bottom of the lake. Go for the Scout 2. Aqua-Vu has a $25 rebate available on the Scouts right now. If your retailer does not have any rebate forms, go to the Aqua-Vu web site and you can down-load and print the form.

This needs to be refined: the Scout II may have the "perch" camera (SR lighting and on-screen water temp) packaged in it now due to shortage of the "bluegill" camera with the SR lighting. The old Scout has the "bluegill" camera with IR lighting. If you have purchased a Scout II recently you very well may have the "perch" camera with on-screen temp and SR lighting, but they are supposed to be packaged with the "bluegill" camera with only SR lighting; it is not a guarantee. Just ask to open it at the counter before purchase if you are aiming to get one with the "perch" camera.
