2007 bassmasters stops

What does it take for bassmasters to hold a tournament in MN or WI? I can understand some repeat places, but come on, nothing in either state? I wonder if they consider either state. Do they have a certain criteria as far as bass population and size of the fish? They can't say we don't have large enough lakes.

Because the MN DNR and WI DNR does not cooperate with the B.A.S.S. people. B.A.S.S. has too many demands when they come into town with a tour stop and MN and WI will not shutdown a city for there events and that is exactly what B.A.S.S. and FLW wants.

The Lake Wissota event didn't help matter with that tough bite, they eliminated the whole upper midwest.

It's not that they want it technically shutdown, but I recently read somewhere that B.A.S.S. has a lot of demands when they come into town and WI DNR won't grant those demands. I can try to find the article.

I take that the pro walleye tour does not ask for the demands like BASS does. Think of the the tourism $$ that this could generate. It is my opinion that "shutting down" a lake for a pro tournament isn't asking too much. How sweet would it be to follow some of your favorite fishermen.

I think that is the main point. WI DNR doesn't want to shutdown a lake to cater to the bass guys. WI DNR want to keep the lakes open for recreational fishermen over bass tournaments of that scale.
