Just finished up my rear auger mount for the my 800. This one is plugged into a rear reciever hitch mount, but I'm pretty sure it could be made to use the factory reciever hitch as well. Let me know what you think. Braidy

Here's what I think... That rig is way too clean!

The mount looks good. Is it tied into the lower mount to prevent twisting?

Yeah it is all cleaned up for winter. The mounts aren't tied together, the upper mount is made with actual receiver tube so the fit is pretty nice between the two tubes.

That is the best looking mount and auger holder I've seen.

Just wondering if any one has made an auger holder useing a large 9" or 10" pvc pipe? How would I attach it to my Polaris 335 Sportsman racks?

Rumor has it PVC pipe gets very brittle when cold and will crack plus, it's expensive in that size diameter. I haven't seen anything out there that beats the Otter Ice Shield. Cobble up some mounts and away ya go.

Nice mount, did you do all the fabrication yourself? I have an 06 500 sportsman and don't really like my auger mounted on my front rack, but I have the lock'n'ride cargo box with backrest and don't want to give that up.

What did that setup run you?

Yeah, I already had the auger tube and the rear receiver hitch, so I fab'd up the mount. I do have an extra rear receiver mount that I made earlier and could easily make up another tube mount, 8" or 10" this one is a 10". Email me if interested. braidyatcharter.net
