Thursday 22 degrees

Friday 28 degrees

so i was wondering if all these temperatures hold true how long do u think it would take to get enough ice to be fishing in portables or something like that?

Not sure where your from but the forcast for my area is this for the next 5 days.

Sunday(today) 20° F | 11° F

Monday 30° F | 28° F

Tuesday 35° F | 9° F

Wednesday 15° F | 4° F

Thursday 16° F | 4° F

With temperatures like this I hope to get out in at least 2-3 weeks for "Good Enough" ice.

We even have some below the donut lows forecast this week for the LOTW area so I'm thinking barring any major wind/snow events that I may be taking my first caurious steps onto select areas of the big pond within a week!

arcticcat400 - don't quote me on this time table, but with the above information on your highs for the next week I'd say you should be able to hit some smaller lakes in 2 weeks.

The temps for Central MN are suppose to be about the same and I plan to hit a few lakes the weekend of December 8-9-10th!

Come on old man winter!

It seems like a real teaser forecast for the metro on south. From my experience, a good consistent freeze takes at the very least a couple of nights of sub zero weather...
