Weekend rollcall

Recommended Posts

Who is heading back out this weekend? I get my first crack at the deer across the border Friday a.m. and am pretty pumped. I'll be hunting over in Rusk county along the Flambeau. Looking forewards to the next couple days, turkey and gravy, football and a late evening drive to the whitetail hunting mecca! Doesn't get much better then that! Good luck to all of you and have a safe week!

Well I passed on a nice 6pt Sat around 9am and then we got the crew together - actually a 1st time for a bunch of the neighbors. We had a crew of about 20 and pushed some turf for sure, I ended up seeing 13 does/fawns on two drives and the last of the day a neighbor shot a nice 8 pt on his land - a great day with lots of new acquaintances(sp?) Gonna give the smokepole a try tomorrow.

Hang in there Cooter! The weather is going to change for the better and the deer are going to start moving. Afterall, it is a full moon. Hope that the muzzleloader gets you that big buck you've been waiting for! Good luck out there guys and may your shots be straight and your bullets hit true!

We are heading up tonight for the 4 day T/management hunt. I am thinking about bringing extra gear - ice fishing stuff. Might as well drop some corn across the lake near the shore and sit in the blaze orange and watch a tip up and jig with the rifle!
