harvey lee
I wish Nascar would not do NBC with thier races. The last few weeks the commercials have had more airtime than the races I do believe.Last week was crazy.I know that it takes good money to get the airtime, but how much money do they need?? LMITOUT
Won't have to worry about it next year.
xedge2002
Yep I definetly agree with HL. Once the Nascar series goes from Fox to NBC I find it a lot harder to watch a race. More commercials and horrible announcers. A lot of the time the guys in the booth can't even get the right driver names.
1lkstage
"Beginning in 2007, each NASCAR season will be launched on FOX with the telecast of the Daytona 500. FOX will also carry NASCAR "Speedweeks" events including the Budweiser Shootout and Daytona Pole Qualifying. FOX will also broadcast the 12 Nextel Cup races following the Daytona 500.TNT will broadcast six consecutive Nextel Cup Series races (races 14 through 19). The final 17 Nextel Cup Series points races will be broadcast on ABC or ESPN. The final 10 races, the Chase for the Nextel Cup, will be broadcast on ABC. The Busch Series will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN or ESPN 2, with no less than four events on ABC."This contract is reportedly worth in excess of 4.48 billion dollars. A 40% increase. The investors ore sceptical to weather or not they fot thier moneys worth.Have not heard who will be announcing. Rumors of Rusty Wallace and Brent Musburger. LMITOUT
They announced who was doing the races for ABC and ESPN a few weeks ago. Rusty Wallace and Musberger are the main guys. Jerry Punch, Andy Petree, Allen Bestwick, Dave Burns, Jamie Little, and Mike Massaro make up the rest of the crew.
harvey lee
I hope with a contact that high that it wont be all commercials to help pay for it.The last few races I watched,I only watch part of them as there was so little racing coverage. iffwalleyes
Brent Musberger?? Really that will be interesting. Rusty will be good but I don't know about Brent.
eyepatrol
Mussberger??? You got to be kidding me!!! I can't see where that will work out at all. As far as I know, he's never had anything to do with NASCAR. Leave him over on college football. Brent Mussberger...cripes....I got my fingers crossed.
