Eastwind
I am getting quotes for a new floor in my Crestliner. One of the shops has told me that treated plywood is not good to use in an aluminum boat as it reacts with the aluminum. He said the he only uses "Super Ply". Does anyone know anything about this material? How would this stuff compare to marine plywood? Also, one of the shops I'm talking to is Custom Rigging, 1 mile East of Stillwater, just in to Wisconsin. Anyone know anything about this shop? The shop that is nearer to my house does good work but his quote came in a lot higher. Any info would be appreciated.
EBass
I did the floors and decking in my jon boat last winter. I used 1/2" MDO plywood. I went to a lumber company (Sewicks or something)in MPLS and I too was looking for treated plywood. He said not to use treated wood and to buy the MDO. Same price for twice the product is what he said. Any who - it's worth checking out, but Menards and HomeDepot doesn't carry it.

Valv
Do a search on this site for floor remodeling, it has been covered many times.Yes DO NOT use treated plywood with aluminum, it will corrode your boat in no time.
83walleye
Why not just use sheet aluminum and cover it with marine vinyl or carpet?
Eastwind
I asked about honeycombed aluminum similar to what Monark uses or used to use in their floors and was told that it was not a good idea because it transmits too much noise. Thanks for the input to you and Valv, though.
