Wild Willie
Just wondering if anyone else has seen these two new ice drill power head covers from ReadyRig. The red/black cover fits Jiffy and Eskimo 2hp & 3hp power augers with wide-stance handles. The blue/blk cover fits all new StrikeMaster augers. I'm sure a lot of folks have been waiting and watching for a good economical solution to keep snow, ice, slush, dirt and grit off their auger's power head for more reliable/quicker start-up. Full length covers are great when your trying to keep melting snow/ice and gas/oil leaks from ruining the back of your SUV, but, I think these small inexpensive covers are going to be the ticket when you're out on the ice this year. What say you?
harvey lee
They look like they will be the ticket for hauling my wheeler down the road in a open trailer with the auger mounted to the front rack.I always have to clean off the power head. Wild Willie
I'm chomping at the bit to get that one on the production line! All I need is for a key decision maker to pull the old proverbial trigger.
Bob Horn
I guess you will have to use a plastic bag for now Paul. I would have thought that the red one would have been Strikemaster and they could make an orange one for Nils.
Paul Waldowski
WW, Thanks for the quick reply. If they go into production I will be the first in line to buy a couple
iffwalleyes
How much do these retail for WW? If I get my auger mounts ready on my sled I will be looking at getting ones of these for the Jiffy.
Paul Waldowski
Iff, They're like $15 and well worth the denaro. I'm looking at them and seeing if there's a way to modify them to fit the Nils. IFF, What kind of rack are you putting on your sled?
iffwalleyes
Well I just got a rear cargo rack off hsolist for my Arctic Cat. I am going to mount it to sled and then take a about a 2-3' long piece of square tubing and attach it to the rack with one of the y yoke that are out there. So it will be on the rear of my sled. But I will be able to cover the sled still the way I want to do it.
JKing
Just bought one of these for my Jiffy tonight. Looks like they will do the job nicely. Been using a Fleet Farm bag up until now. Guess I can throw that away.
