Do portable blinds reflect heater glow?

Boar

Recommended Posts

I'm gonna be muzzle hunting in my pop up blinds, I'm new to them last year an this year an really enjoy them, especially when i take my kids with. I have always wonderd though about the black interior an the red glow from from a mr. buddy heater, I seem to get this impression that if a deer was to walk by close enough in the early mournin hours I feel my blind would be lit up like a jack-o-lanturn, as the sun rose this would'nt be a problem but before sunrise I think th black interior would reflect the glow from the heater which it dose but to what degree an would it spook deer. Any thoughts on this, or experiences? later boar

Dress like you're ice fishing, and see if you can go without the heater. Your grandpa did for years.....

And yes, one of the fundamental advantages of a blind is the dark environment it provides. Open widows on four sides, or a source of illumination from inside, and you could get yourself busted.

I dont have a problem myself with out heat its taking my kids with an keeping them warm so they enjoy the experience. I guess I'll just have to risk it an let fate take over, or give them some hand warmers or body wraps. Thanks later boar

I think I solved the problem with these little portable grills, there about twice the size as a shoebox an will radiate heat with the lid closed like a patio grill. When we get hungry we open the lid an pop on a hot dog, yummie hot food an heat. later boar
