Ok well we know whom the real golphers are here and I unfortunately am not one of them.. grin.gif But I believe we could put together a pretty decent softball team here right Tank?

Bruce is doing good Jay, talked to him this morning. He's feeling good enough to teach drift boat lessons. He's also looking to get into some of those center fire Okuma rods and I think he said there 13' long.

Franky and I are pretty busy with inspection stuff here at work. So yes I am actually working.

Way to go Franky on the take last night and we all know why CNY Kyle did not hook-up... Fish don't have legs grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

CNY Frank: Yup that was I. Too crowded for me on the point so I wandered over by the pole and hit a few. Fished with Shawn and Donnie. Perch colored anything was good. May wander out tonight like a lost fisherman again. It was a bit slow but fish around. Shawn hit two quick ones before I left about 1130. All good eatrs but no PIGGIES. smirk.gifsmirk.gifAlways fun to catch fish butit was getting a bit cool as yes the guides were icing.Got to filet a few fish before I head out later.

Might have been Shawn and Donnie last night on the preacher's box. My apologise for the tangles. I wandered over to the opposite point that a guy caught two early then left for work. Of course, we all let him know how sorry we were he was leaving!!! grin.gif Lots of casting and looking around. Once I put the small white husky jerk on, I got two within 5 minutes . . . one 24.5 inches. Just the line tie was sticking out of their mouths. Then somehow the lip broke off the lure. . . and then it was the search through the tackle bag routine until something looked good and flashy. Finally hooked the third on the . . . perch colored frenzy!! I only heard of Larry catching his limit and Mike and Ontario 4 or 5. Other than that anything before 8:30 was slow. No wind, flat water . . . not good conditions, but the fish were around, just not active. Let North Shore know about the activities or lack thereof. Maybe tonight . . . after golf!

That was gadam hilarious, I always though Jimmy Houston was the smarter fisherman, and this tape proves it in my book. I actually met him at the bass weigh in last year at Oneida Shores, real nice guy. Very gracious as well, everyone got an autograph, next year i'm gonna bring my camera. I really don'y care for bass fishing very much, but I have never seen Jimmy Houston throw a crappie under 6" back, so he is great as far as im concerned.

Bar time . . .9:30 . . .only 2 trucks when I pulled in, however . . .6 people on the point! Only 1 on the other point. Flat water. Watched them pull in a fish and discuss leaving. They pulled up stakes about 5 minutes after I got there. They said I could have the point and to stand on the rock. I told them I have been here a couple of times . . . tossed the perch frenzy out and hooked a fish which I offered to them to round out their limit. The 1 guy left on the other point picked up his stuff and proceeded to come over to the point I was on. Low and behold, it was North Shore. I then caught two more fish and convinced NS to put on a perch frenzy and he then caught his first frenzy fish!! Very nice hog . . . he will give stats. I left at 1030 to insure some sleep tonight and a little catch up on missed sleep because of the bowl games. Despite the slack water, again the fish were there, but you had to work a little. Wind came up and blew shad from inside the marina to the open water and it seemed like the bite cut off and maybe because the fish went out to the main lake with the wind. One fish did show himself about 30 feet out when it swirled on one of the shad. I think NS Jr flipped a quick one its direction and then caught it. Might have been someone else. Rain started the minute I left and drove home in a good shower all the way. Water might come up and warm up also . . . bite should still last.

Had to work for them last evening. Right Frank. Caught my first Frenzy fish, a nice Piggie, 24 1/2. Caught 4 more after CNY Frank left and fished till the heavy rain came. Not a lot of traffic as the Rogue kid finished with a limit as CNY Outdoorsman caught a couple. Did however land another huge northern. It surfaced after a shad and wham, drag and more drag. A blast it was.Nice fishing with you Frank. Great company makes fishing a whole lot better.

grin.gif

Thanks Timmy! I'm heading back home to Endicott tomorrow for the day to see family but if I wasn't I would probably be hitting the "C" tomorrow afternoon and have you jump in the boat about 4pm for the night bite. I gotta think we could just KILL em there right now after dark ooo.gif

Well where do I start.... I guess the beginning which was about 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon. Dark Cloud and Tank headed up north because the Delaware was a mess in the morning and they missed the bar... So to secure our spots for shore fishing we got there at 3 p.m.., Dark Cloud Tank and CNY Tim and meeting us down on the point were North Shore, Roque Kid, Hendo and CNY Outdoorsman. Things started off with a bang my second cast and I had a heavy northern on and after a couple of runs he broke my fireline a little later on I caught a 4lb. largemouth bass on a Frenzy. I had 3 walleye bumps I think all night and when I mean night I mean all fricken night. Frank and I left the bar at 2 a.m. and between fishing we partied over at North Shore's for some tasties, pizza, and hot peppers and North Shore sent us on our way happy with a jar of his finest peppers each, thanks buddy. Another story to our adventure was Missy, Hendo's girlfriend. Cell phone rings and it's Campbell now I'm thinking may be there starting to get a couple on the right cause I was fishing with Mike on the left, by Big Johhy Ice's rock but heck no... North shore said we need another guy? why? I said. Missy buried her car off the parking area.

I should have taken a picture of this cause it would have been hilarious for you guys to see. grin.gif Anyhow we hooked a chain up on her and Hendo backed up his Big Bad Dodge and walked her right out of there on "one chain". So I still lead in the chain department, your just a rookie Missy nice try though wink.gif but Dark Cloud and Tank recall it took "four chains" to haul me out. grin.giflaugh.gifgrin.gif One more thing Greg... your wife sure does know alot about the mail... wink.gifblush.gifgrin.gif BTW walleyes were caught., not by me but by Dark Cloud(limit) Tank, and Hendo one a piece. Water was pretty turbid and west wind was ripping 15-25 mph... After North Shore's party we went back to the bar for some more humiliation Franky had an eye and lost em close to shore, he had another bump after with no hook-up. winds are supposed to be south to south east but I probably wont be going...Here's the highlight of the night, Roque Kid and what we first thought was a record breaking Northern well I think the pictures tell the story.

The hook set! Roque Kid's going for a ride..

1000383fd7.jpg

Hold on Roque Kid! Help is on the way with CNY Outdoorsman and Tank's net..

1000384hk4.jpg

The hoist and to our surprise...

1000385ws2.jpg

Walk back to the point with the prize.

1000386kd8.jpg

CNY Outdoors man with a full net..

1000387jp7.jpg

The proud owner, now that's how you snag em Mike! wink.gif

1000388bu0.jpg

Even though the fish didn't cooperate for most of us we had another great time on the shores of Oneida. What a crew...

That's a great story about the carp because the last time I went shorefishing for walleyes in November I had snagged two in a row like that ooo.gif I was obviously casting into a pod of carp and after the second one I didn't cast there any more.

My late report for Friday night was just another slaughter cool.gif It was raining too hard to get any pictures because my camera was completely fogged up but we hooked 7 fish and boated 6 nice "Stoagies" as Timmy calls em between 18" and 23" and my fishing pal dwayne couldn't have been happier smile.gif It was his first time coming out in my Lund for one of my nighttime walleye charters and we did great. I let him reel in most of the fish and take em all home too. I'm heading back out again later today to catch the evening bite.

Appreciated the thirst quenchers NS! Peppers are fiding their appropriate spot today. Timmie wanted to call you when I hooked the first fish but I told him nah, its just a fluke (no pun intended). It came off at my feet and I started to go for it but decided I wasn't going tokeep it anyway. The next cast another bump . . .and that was it!!

CNY Frank : Those peppers are not as good the second time around. A great time was had by all in attendance if the fishing was a bit better. Great pics of the Roque Kid with that carp. Big Grins make better pics. This has been a great season. Had a nice breakfast with Hendo and Missy the Mud Bogger shocked.gifshocked.gif. The car looks like new this morning but you should see the pile of mud in the car wash. crazy.gifcrazy.gifI guess It could of been worse. She could have put it in the LAKE. grin.gifgrin.gif

Had a good time last night even with the sub-par fishing. If that water was just a little clearer. Conditions look good for tonite.

Timmy - How come every time we come up seems to be your turn to get tumbled in the barrel???

Got on the water around 4pm tonight with my friends Robb and Shawn and didn't hit a fish til 5! Ended up with 5 hookups and we boated 4 good ones from 18" to 22" and then my Minn Kota motor control bugged out at 6pm and would only go on high speed ooo.gif Due to technical difficulties we had to leave early but 4 good ones isn't too bad wink.gif I've got to take the rig back to the dealer this week and hopefully the trolling motor is still under warranty since I've only had it about 4 months. For now I've got a good transom trolling motor as a backup until I get that one taken care of because I plan on going one or two nights this week again before she freezes up!!

Started fishing tonight at 4:30pm and had my whole spot to myself and 7 cast later I was heading home with my limit. Called my pops and he went down and had his limit in 20 minutes. The water was really dirty but the fish were stacked heavy and lots of popping going on everywhere. Can you believe it's Jan. 7th and we are still catching walleye off shore. My dad keeps telling me that this was how the weather was when the storm of 1966 hit the area really bad. I guess I picked a bad year to buy a new Marcum. frown.gif

Dark Cloud - Tumbled in a barrel? confused.gif I'm a grinder and never give up man, you know this. It's not like I didn't hook up last night I did hook up Missy's car for Hendo to tow out grin.gif Regardless I think this new landscape project your on is making the difference in your game. wink.gif She's a keeper I can tell already. Call me at work tomorrow...

CNY Lee- Way to go Lee! Glad you got a spot that doesn't have a hundred guys in it to cash in on those green backs. Come on Lee... Should'nt have bought a MarCum, dude you know how many else have electronics ne wthis season awaiting a chance for ice to play on. I think this long open water season is testing some, it sucks I know it were usually well on top, but with such good eye fishing to be had ther'es absolutely no reason to be depressed about it.

Insurance Guy - Even a day off on the water and trolling motor problems can't slow you John. Keep it going man...

Franky - last nights foray over at Campbells did me in for the day I spent a lot of time reading New York Outdoor News in the can.

I wonder how the boys finished up tonight?
