hello i hunted this last weekend on the first season and we party hunt and we shot 3 deer for six guys so i still have my tag and liscense and i was wondering if it was possible to use that tag to hunt this weekend or not but i would be hunting in a different zone than last weekend or if i could go in and buy a new liscense for this weekend or not thanks for any help u can give

If you dont have a multizone or an All Season license, you cannot cross into another zone.

And you cannot go purchase a license in order to allow you to move into another zone either.

You might be able to upgrade your license to the all season as long as you haven't used any of your tags. Contact the DNR to see if you can.

No you can not. The only way to hunt the 3B season is with a 3B license.

Once a person purchases a zone license, you can not purchase another zone license. One firearm license per person per year. Multi-zone or all-season licenses are the only way a person could hunt more than one zone, but neither of those includes the 3B season.

webwarrior, I don't see where the original poster was specifically referencing 3b, I took his question to suggest more that he was in zone 4 and was looking to hunt in two days...

I had upgraded last year because i wanted to MuzzleLoad and had not used a tag. It is very easy to do it, you need to just contact the DNR and they will guide you through the process.

I'm thinking webwarrior is on the right track because 3A and 4A are only good for one weekend. The writer said he wanted to hunt the second season. The rules specifically say that allseason licenses are not valid in 3B.

I know there are rules about upgrading, but an all-season won't allow you to hunt the second weekend of 3 or 4. Its possible that a Multi-zone could allow you to hunt zones 1 or 2 but I don't know. I couldn't find the info in the regs so you should call your local CO.

What do you mean an All Season will not allow me to hunt the second season of Zone 4? I know I can't hunt the 2nd season of Zone 3, but 4 should be o.k.

You absolutely can hunt both 4a and 4b with the all season or with the multi zone buck. You can also hunt all the others, except 3B. Like hunt zone 1 last weekend for instance and then come hunt zone 4b this weekend. Just need to upgrade that license, 3B is the only anomoly it can't be hunted with either the multi-zone or all-season. All season gets you the muzzleloader and archery which the multi zone doesn't.

what about someone who is under 16 and has a youth licsence?

youth license can hunt both 4A and 4B this year...it's in the regs.

Youth hunters get all the firearm options this year. They can hunt 1,2,3A,3B,4A, and 4B for $14. Not a bad deal!

Youth licences are good for all firearm seasons except muzzleloader this is new this tear it was a big suprise my son thought that he was done hunting for this year a guy should read the law book every year.

I do believe you can still hunt the 3B season with an allseason license if you are in area 337 and harvest only does. In this area there are an unlimited amount of doe tags this year.
