What bobbers to use at night

Might try some slipbobber fishing this weekend and am wondering what type of lighted bobbers people use. Any particular kind or style I should look for?

I'll be going for eyes and will be soaking fatheads or slightly larger minnows.

Thanks in advance.

I have never had much luck with the battery life on lighted bobbers, one thing or another, seems like I am replacing them way too often for the price...I now buy the "glow sticks" and attach them to my slip bobber. If I am going to replace them each time out, might as well go with the cheapest option.

I bought a bunch of mini light sticks on hsolist-- shove them into the top of a Wave Buster or Ice Buster foam bobber. Works great as long as it isn't in a real bright area (lights from shore, moon, etc). I think 3 boxes of 50 cost around $20 including shipping.

I have very good luck with the Thils ( you need to be very careful to get the battery pulled all the way off or the battery will be dead the next time you use it. may not be lit but will still go dead)I have used the glow sticks but on the past few below frezzing nights they did not last long unless I warmed them back up.

DB, I make two different kinds of Bobbers. ICe Buster Bobbers and Wave Buster Bobbers. The Wave Buster Bobbers are made for Summer Fishing. They are weighted (for further casts), Can snap instantly on and off line, No need for a plastic bead on your line - just the string tie knot, Trimmable for more sensitivity, so however you look at it they have more built in features than any bobber. For night fishing just poke a hole into the top with a toothpick and isert a glow stick for about 6 to 8 hrs of light.

Good Luck, Bruce Mosher

I dont think you can beat Todays Tackles bobbers for day or night.I love there ice buster bobbers for ice fishings.

Hands down, the best bobber I have ever used. smile.gifYou can trim those babies down so the top is just at water level and it takes nothing to pull it down without the fish feeling anything. smile.gif
