Reconditioned Flasher

I am fairly new to this site and am really impressed with the great info put out. Just wondering if anyone knows of any drawbacks to buying a reconditioned Marcum LX-3? Found a good deal on one. Thanks

I just ordered one at the end of last week that should be here in the next day or two. It's a LX-3 with the tc upgrade. I'll let you know. However, this will be my first flasher, so I assume others could probably give you a better comparison.

...maybe I should have posted the same questions before buying, but I couldn't wait any longer. Getting the itch.

I sure wouldn't see a problem. I have bought several things over the years that were reconditioned and they ran great. With that I know that Marcum will still stand behind it. Two years ago I had a transducer go bad on my 3 year old LX 3 called them up it was way out of warrenty and they covered it no questions asked.

I agree with it not being a problem. Even if a problem does arise, Marcum's service is second to none. Have fun with your new flasher

Sandmannd- I would take a look on the site and see if anyone is selling used LX-3 with the tc upgrade.

Otherwise Marcum's HSOforum through the spring had LX-3tc's (upgrades) available for you to purchase as well. Giving them a call wouldn't hurt either- they'd be able to point you in the right direction for reconditioned units.

I don't want to break any rules regarding sponsors and such, but if you go to Marcum's HSOforum, one of the site on the "store guide" section sells them. That's where I got mine. Sorry for the vague response, but again, don't know what's allowed and not allowed on this site relating to sponsors and other companies.
