Mille Lacs Advice

My dad and I are heading up to Mille Lacs this week from Wed-Saturday. We have hired Steve Sczepaniak as a guide for the whole day on Wednesday. Does anyone have any tips for what are some hot color patterns as well as som general areas to fish hard? First time fishing muskie on Mille Lacs any info would help. Thanks!

I had some good luck in Wahkon bay early this week, went out today (probably the last time this season ) and I couldn't buy a follow, but that doesn't mean there gone. If you get a chance try the weeds just south of half moon island, seen a few nice ones in there. Cast a deep diving crankbait and when you find some nice green weeds switch to a suick and hold on! There's even some monster pike hanging out in those weeds and they love jerkbaits. Good luck let us know how you do.
