Stud ?

Ok I got a snowmobile a while ago and it has studs. Someone told me you have to pay a stud fee when you get it licensed. Is this true, if it is does anyone know how much it is?

I think they reworked that a short time ago. I don't think there is a fee anymore for studs, now it's a fee for everybody that wants to use the trails, regardless if your track is studded or not. There are areas you can't run your sled if you have studs.

Correct...there is no stud fee anymore. However be aware there are paved trails that you cannot ride on! Sometimes there are dirt trails on the sides of these for studs, sometimes not.
