icehousebob
One of my sons went sturgeon fishing last weekend and caught his biggest ever. It took him 45 minutes to get it in and then he couldn't get it into the boat so he had to row ashore and then land it. It measured 66 inches and weighed 80 pounds. He e-mailed me pictures but I don't know how to get them on this sight. I would really appreciate it if I could e-mail them to one of you who could bring them up for me. Thanks. icehousebob
Thanks, marine man. To put it in perspective, Matt is 6ft. 2 in. and weighs 240lbs. So if the fish looks big with him holding it I guess it is. He was fishing alone, so he had to take his own pictures of himself with the time delay on his camera. He caught a 62 incher a couple hours after this one and didn't even think it was worth taking a picture of. That fish had very distinctive coloring, so if he catches it again, he'll know it. Little fish like Walleyes and Flathead Cats don't thrill him as much anymore.

icehousebob
I have a question for the moderators of this site. How big does a fish have to be before it's pictured on the front page??? Does 66 inches and 80 pounds get close?
fiskyknut
Couple years ago we had a 117 pound Sturgeonfish on the mainpage. 'Hibbing' had a beast around 100 pounds but it was'nt on the mainpage, it sure looked waaaay BIG on the LOTW page though! Where was that one caught? You would'nt happen to know the girth on it would ya?
