Maplewood is very near our lake place, it is a lesser known park but at this time of the year one of the most beautiful. I agree with Steve on the horseback shot, that is a keeper. By the way, you can use the free Picasa software which will do many great things including leveling horizons. Also works with RAW if that is how you shot.

I like the first shot and the horse shots the best! Greaat colors and you have your composition dialed in with the rule of thirds I noticed.

I grew up in that area, around 8 miles west of Ottertail in the Pleasant Lake, Fish Lake, and West Lost area.

nice shots Minnow!.......our "reds" up here near Hibbing are basically gone....only "yellows" left now....and alot of leaves on the ground aleady....jonny

Thanks jonny,it's hard to find great reds up there too.Even the Sumac colors were subdued this year.

I live near Maplewood, we didn't get there this year.

I love all the shots especially the horseback shots.

When we hike Maplewood we always have to watch out for

droppings because of the horse trails.
