Hockey Guy
I don’t buy into those preseason polls at all. How can Minnesota be ranked 3rd when they are starting 9 freshmen? Sure they’re supposed to be good freshmen, but they’re still freshmen. I also don’t know how they can rank Wisconsin 1st when they lost their top six point producers from last year. Didn’t they lose their goalie as well? I can’t remember. All I care about is that the Gophers are there in the end. If I had to pick a WCHA favorite right now I would be leaning toward St. Cloud State. They didn’t lose any top players and Motzko really had those guys clicking at the end of last season.I just can’t wait for college hockey to start up again. The off-season is waaaaaaay to long in hockey! Go Gophers.

solbes
Elliot is still in Wisconsin. He was so good last year it was easy for me to pick them as the national champs when he was injured and the Goph's were on top of the world. Going to be a lot tougher though without those upper classmen skaters.Gophers will be good again, even after losing Kessel, Irmen, and Potulny. They are getting the number one pick afterall; hometown guy too. Still the Gophers have Briggs, and I just don't see them winning deep into the playoffs with this guy.I went to Duluth, so I'm going to carry the lone torch for the 'Dogs. We've got a lot of Sophmores now and some Juniors. Maybe at least compete for 4th or 5th. Picked up some tickets for UM vs UMD today, I'm psyched.I agree that SCSU looked tough late last year. Then of course you still have UND and the 2 CO schools. It's no wonder the national championship ALWAYS comes from the WCHA now!--Also I'm looking forward to some clumsy Woog-er deliveries. I love that guy!
