Reel repair, and fuel additive ?'s

Hey, I have a Diawa samarai spinning reel that was clicking when i reeled it in, that somewhat sounded like the sound that the drag makes, so I took it apart to see if I could find the source and lube it up. First of all, I didnt find where the clicking came from, and second of all, and most importantly and unfourtunatly, I think I put it back together slightly incorrectly, because the spool sits really high, and the reel locks up after about 1 and a half turns even in free spool, and in both directions. Anyways I was wondering if there is a person/place that fixes reels, because I have no idea what I am doing. Or do I just have send it to diawa to get it fixed?

Also, isn't there a fuel additive called sea foam? Can anyone tell me about this product like if it is even necessary to use, and is it something that you always add to your fuel, or is it for certain ocasions only. Also, I dont know if this matters, but it would be used on a four horse, and i thought maybe you might think it wouldnt be worth it since it is such a small engine.

i can't help with the reel, but i run sea foam in my boat,lawn mower , and golf cart all the time! when i had to have the carbs in my 90 hp yamaha cleaned , the service guys told me to use it in every tank. it is a stabilizer, plus a cleaner.

Delmuts is correct! Seafoam is a really good product. No snake oil here!! It’s actually three products in one. A fuel stabilizer, a moisture dispersant, and a fuel system and upper end cleaner. If you don't use your equipment much I would definitely recommend using the seafoam motor tune in every tank. The directions are on the back of the can and easy to follow. This stuff also works great for freeing up stuck hydraulic lifters on cars and trucks!

As long as you’re picking up the motor tune, you might as well pick up a can of seafoam deep creep. Its essentially motor tune in an aerosol can with the added benefit of having a penetrating lube also. I use it for everything from freeing up rusted nuts and bolts to fogging the small engines in the winter.

There was a guy in Anoka that did reel repair out of bait shop that was under a liquior store along highway 10. I use to buy bail springs and things but that was 10 years or more but it might be worth calling.

Thanks guys, I will seriously consider buying sea foam then. Also, thanks Jim, but I think anoka is a little far away for me, since I would have to have my parents take me there to get it done. sorry I should have been a bit more spacific on that. So the best location would be somewhere in the south metro. but now that you say it, I might just start calling some bait shops that are near me. thanks.
