Hustler Prop - Ever Heard Of It?

Has anyone ever heard of or know anything about a Hustler Prop? Are they a good prop?

I currently use a hustler prop, and I have been satisfied with it. The nice part about them is the hub is interchangeable of the actual prop. Meaning if you wreck the blades, the hub is still good, and a replacement is a lot less expensive.

Depending on what motor you have you might want to check with your dealer, the reason being they will fit the differant motors, but the exhaust might not work properly.

Mine's been working great for 3+ years now. No problems. If you get a bad ding in the prop the replacement is much cheaper.

Is it a stainless steel prop? 3-blade prop?

My boat came with one installed. They didn't size it correctly and since the hustler tends to be a bit shorter than the props designed for my engine the dealer ended up using non-standard hardware to make it work. It worked ok, and was easy enough to have fixed but I've since switched to a properly sized stainless and my boat has better top end, better hole shot, and is quieter than when it was equiped with the Hustler.

The Hustler prop is one of a line of props produced by Turning Point Props. They offer a good variety with a stainless, which I currently have on my boat. I like the way my boat works with the prop. They do have a nice HSOforum.

Crystal Pierz used alot of these. They told me this spring when I got my boat that the hub has a neoprene bushing or something inside the hub so that if you hit something there is a little give in the motor. They told me that after switching to these they have seen a decrease in lower unit repairs etc. I am just running a aluminum one on my boat right know and I am pretty happy with it.
