Just a reminder for all the UFC fans out there.Tommorrow night is the Fight night live with some good fights including Diego Sanchez vs Carlo Parishner.Chris Leban is also fighting, with a few others also.Should be a good night to hold down the couch and fire up the grill!Oh yeah, tonight there is UFC Unleashed with Forrest Griffen vs Tito Ortiz on Spike!

Pretty good bout for the main event. I really didn't think Griffin would last the three rounds with Tito. He really stepped up and rocked Ortiz a few times. Forrest avoided the take down so well! But late in the 3rd round Ortiz finally got a take down. Although he was down, Forrest was relentless with the elbows and even got out and back up on his feet.

Split desicion Ortiz the winner!

I still think that should have been no worse then a draw and it should have went another round! Tito didn't look right? He seemed to lack the fire of previous bouts?

I didn't realize how ponderous and slow Forrest really is on the attack, short legged, and long torso and slow of hand speed? Kind of gumpish like? But I was surprised he could avoid the take down?

In my opinion, a longer armed thumper would have a fairly easy time with him (Well, maybe not easy, but easier) and at the least, cut him up to the point of having the bout stopped? He was a mess and the scar tissue doesn't get any tougher as time passes, or new cuts occur!

Forrest is one tough dude. He takes a lickin and keeps on tickin! I loved how the crowd cheered for him rather than Tito. Lots of fighting on again tonight starting at 6 going till 10 with the utlimate fighter series starting up again at 9. UFC rules!!!!

59...You got that right! No imposters there! It only takes a minute to find out whose eatin meat and who ain't!

Lately with the boxing, they put a guy in whose record is 12 wins 62 losses 2 draws, with 1 ko and they drop him in with a guy that is 50-0-0 with 48 ko's! Yeah, that's gonna be a good one to waste your time watching!

PrideFighting, they show the same stuff all the time, same with that K-1 stuff....although I could watch Don Fry kick someones a$$ 20 times over! grin.gif

Who watches the UFC for the XYIENCE commercials?

Also a Old Spice Red Zone commercial...

Tonight that red head (Chris Lieben maybe) sure layed that black guy (Santiago maybe) out cold. Then gave him a couple more hammers before Herb stopped the fight.

I really would like to see the Griffen vs. Bonner rematch. That should be a good one!

Oh my god!

Sanchez vs. Parisyan was awesome! Those guys both would not quit and kept going a hundred miles an hour. Parisyan started to wear out a little at the end. Sure would have liked to see Sanchez lose his first match though. grin.gif

Title match for Sanchez? I'm not sure though.

I don't think that Chris Lieben will go far in the UFC, when he's on his back he's useless, and when he meets a guy with good hands he's eating the mat face first. I was hoping for Diego to get his first loss also. You gotta hand it to him though as he came into the fight PREPARED! Diego against that Canadian St. Pierre guy. That would be the fight I would like to see!

DT...I thought Lieben was tasting a few to many punches to the head and early on, he was rocked...santiago just didn't follow up on it.

The punch that flatttened Santiago was a lucky shot, close your eyes and swing for the fence, hoping it lands! It wasn't even that good of a punch...good enough to catch Santiago off guard and K.O. him, so I guess style points don't matter.

I haven't liked that guy from jump street...when he took a leak on that other fighters bed during the UF series, that did it for me, I couldn't wait to see him get his a$$ kicked good!

I also don't think he is top caliber competition, that guy from Brazil that stopped him in his last fight, made him look like he was moving in slow motion?

He doesn't seem to have the right tools to compete on equal terms with some of those other fire breathers. He landed a lucky punch, that other guy was eating Liebens lunch right up until that time!

Hanson....That Parisyan was giving it to Sanchez there for awhile and I tought he had him back on his heels, but from the roll around his middle, I was wondering if maybe he wasn't in the best of shape? Maybe a few to many Gyros?

Man that final round, Sanchez put that dude in the blender, did you catch the slow mo where Parisyan took the knee in the gob and his tooth came flying out? Man, this UFC stuff is the real deal, no doubt!

Deisel Riggs looked really good also, he put the whammy on that other guy, Von Whats His Name and wasted little time doing it...he may be one to watch? He is only 23.

How's Josh Koscheck vs Diego Sanchez sound for a fight? Or Josh vs Diesel? I don't like that Josh at all, but he is a excellent fighter! The only problem is he thinks he's tougher than he is!

Jlt...You are correct sir! I do believe that Sanchez and Diesel would be a good fight...I think Sanchez would out hustle Koscheck.

With the over all and well rounded ability that Sanchez has and his excellent shape and cardio, he's gonna be a tough one to knock over, although Parisyan showed that Sanchez can be hit and hit hard!

I think that if Parisyan was in better shape, he would have won the fight...once he got gassed, Sanchez was on him like a duck on a junebug!

Jlt...Well, it won't be 'Babalo' thats for sure! Although that guy is good, he is constantly open for a right hand to the gourd and Lidell feasts on that type of opening.

The Ice Man has the right mechanics to hit hard and he seems to be able to take a pretty good punch also. I've never seen him do much grappling or martial arts, cause he always seems to get one of them rpg's across and end the fight?

Randy Coutour gave him some of his own business the one time and beat him at his own game...short lived but it showed he certainly isn't invincible!

It would be a toss up between him and Franklin....Rich is more well rounded and he certainly can bring it...Chuck I believe hits harder....I think it would be the firstest with the mostest, 50-50 either way on a given night. take your pick.

I've seen a bunch of good fights, going back to the beginning...I believe it started out as 'Tough man" competition and morphed into what we have today. I liked to watch Don Fry fight...man, talk about blood, guts and ability!

I think that Sanchez is a real good fighter, but in this sport, unlike boxing where you pretty much know whose gonna win, anything can happen anytime...I guess Babalo even has a chance if Lidell makes a mistake he definately knows what to do if the opportunity arises!

Come to think of it, isn't Franklin lighter then Lidell? One being a light heavy and the other be a middle weight or something like that? Whatever, maybe one could come down, or the other could go up!

Franklin is a 185 lber and Lidell is a 205 lber.My ? was if you thought of some competition against either one in their own weights? Loiuseau gave Franklin all he wanted in the last fight for Franklin since Franklin broke his hand in the first round.I'm wondering who will be Franklin's next fight? I thought Couture should of wrestled Lidell alot more, instead of standing up with a world class KO artist. If a excellent wrestler uses their takedown skills against Lidell, the title will be changing hands!(Just look out for Lidell's hands!)

I guess it don't matter to me I like both of them. I heard Dana say that their first match was one of the best fights UFC has ever had. I'm hoping it'll be another good one. If I had to chose I'd say Bonner, only beacuse he didn't win the last time. He still got a contract though which I thought was cool. Last night seemed a little too over the top promoting the whole event. Interviews seemd a little long.

How about Lidell and Babaloo? Who's pickin who? I'd say the guy from El Salavdor wins. He says he want to kill Chuck. That is some tough thinking!

Dan...Hey champ, what up? Busy, busy! I'll say Forest, although they are both crowd pleasers, I believe Bonner has been taking a few to many shots to the head! Forest to, but he seems to be weathering them better and he is one dedicated dude....even if he is a little slow to pull the trigger!

After last nights interviews, I'd like to see Babalou win, but train as he might, no amount of training can help you if you leave your jaw unprotected from a heavy hitter!

If Babalou can get ahold of him before they get to sweaty, he might be able to submit him...he's good at that...if he carries those hands to low, it's "Goodnight Irene!"

For something different, I'm gonna say Babalou.

I'm voting for Lidell.

The piece last night on Lidell & Babalou was pretty good. Man, I would be fanatical about training as well if I could do it on the beach with Babalou. Too cool!

Did anyone catch the girl who was interviewing Mr. Sobral? Yikes! wink.gif
