Has anyone been out on Waconia recently?? I am planning to head out there this weekend and I was just curious if anyone had anything to report!!

Just fish slow and you will catch fish, did some cranking but didnt catch much.(im not the best cranker) went flipping and catch some nice fish. I dont think u will have a hard time catching fish!!1

My buddy and I were on the water early, early this morning. We had a tough go of it. The fish didn't seem to be holding on the points and inside corners of the many reefs, like they have been. I noticed the algae bloom is getting pretty bad, wondering how this might affect the fishing. I'd be interested in hearing if any one else put anything together.

Was just out on waconia this last weekend. hit the lake for 5 hrs today(sunday) Your right about the alge, it is starting to get back. I had no problem hitting up the big fish. Ran into a few walters when fishing deep water. 14-18 FOW was key for us. If we hit the fish in shallow water, they were ither in very very tight cover, or they were in the shad. Work very slow and i garrentee you run into fish. There big. And there fun when your on a school.

What baits where working for you? What is the water visibility out there? I am thinking about getting out there tonight after work.

Deep water we were on school of fish with Jig Worm. Used cranks to find them. Creater Baits in the swallow water. You'll Find fish.

Thanks for the help. I ended up going to Minnewashka with the wind that we had. Got into some nice fish but no schools.

I wish I would have gone to Waconia....
