Portable Shelter

Last year, I bought an Otter sled and used it to pull my ice fishing gear. I have an older Cabelas suitcase-style shanty mounted on a plywood floor and would set this on top of the sled, folded up, to pull it out to the site. Not the easiest setup so I want to get a fold-out type shanty that mounts right on the sled. Does anyone know if the canvas/poles from other manufacturers fit on the Otter sled or do I need to get the Otter fish-house?

The Otter setup is not too bad to install. A couple hours and you should be done.

You will have to mount a couple of brackets on the tub, and then put all the pole assemblies together. Then you put the canvas over the frame work.

Like Gissert said, it shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours to line up all the holes and mount in the brackets that are used to put the poles in place.

Take a look at Otter Outdoors and spend a little time on their site. I've contacted their customer service support line before and 100% guarentee they'll help you out with any question you might have.

What's nice with a house like this is that if you chose to use your sled during the summer for what have you, just unscrew the bolts and store your house...you have a sled to use house free.
