nissan 4 strokes

Whats the good word on Nissan 4strokes. I am looking at the 8hp for a kicker. Anyone hear anything negative about them?

They are made by Tohatsu and so is the Merc 9.9 Pro Kicker. Nuff said.

My Dad has a 25hp. Nice and quiet. No problems as of yet. Had for about a year.

When you visit Cabela's stores take a look at the outboard motors you see in the Bargain Cave. Almost all of them are Nissans.

Sure makes a feller stop to think doesn't it?

I don't think the fact that the bargain cave has only Nissans is a fair assessment. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think the only kickers Cabela's really sells are Nissans. You'd have to know how many motors they sell before knowing whether the number in the bargain cave is a reflection on their quality.
