A guy was coming down 35 to meet up with me and check out my bike. On his way he called me to let me know he had been delayed. I asked why of course. He was driving down 35 and out of no where a railroad spike came crashing into his Truck. Bounced off the hood (leaving a hole) and smashed right into his windshield. I couldn't believe this until he showed up with the spike sticking in his windshield. It was looking him right in the face. The only saving grace was the edge they use to pound it in and hold the railroad tracks down. He had someone looking over him that day. He had no time to react, before he knew it he was powdered with glass in his face. I took a picture of it on my cell. I will try to get it posted here tonight (althouh the cell pictures stink). Just thought I would share the story.
I am so very sorry to hear this and so sorry for the loss of Chamois. She was beautiful companion.
We will always miss the dogs we have lost. Unfortunately we lost both of our dogs just 6 days apart in November.
