Upcoming tests for the Twins

The Twins test to see if they matter this year is coming up in the next road trip. They win 6 out 9 agst the tribe-sox and tigers (at home) ---- watch out-- otherwise it's going to be 8-10 games behind the DIV leader and 4-6 games outta the WC for the rest of the year. With the 2 BIG Units going , they should win at least 4-- the other 2 games is going to be scary. I know Radke is pitching well,,, but if I had to take a over/under on: # of Radke HR's given up in 3 games (in the first 2 innings) or the # of days Hezbollah has before they run scared into Syria--- I'll take the over on Radke and his homeruns allowed.

I think we will do okay againt the sox and the tigers.1st game at chicago we have Radke vs Vasquez. I think we will squeeze out a win there seeing Radke has pitched extremely well over his last 5 starts. Second game we have Santana vs Contreras. I dont know which way to go on this game. Its a toss up. Last game at Chicago we have Silva vs Buehrle. I see Silva spelt LOSS. He sucks why even bother. Might as well forfeit.

Detroit we have Baker pitching the first game. Oh goody. LOSS.

Second game Liriano vs Robertson. Being we are at home I will pick Liriano. Its hard to beet Robertson and home but we can beet him at the dome especially against Liriano.

third game will be radke vs? which we will win cause Radke is very good on home turf.

So I see us going 4-2 maybe 3-3 thru the next six. It will be a test to see just how good we are playing. God what I wouldnt give for another .500 plus starting pitcher

Ok, well if we wanna be exact he has pitched well his last 7 starts, 8 starts ago he gave up 11 hits in 5 innings to Kansas City for a 6-3 loss. Thats not very well. But anyway I guess we just have to sit back and see what happens. If we could possibly somehow sweep them we would be tied with them in the division race. I can feel it heatin up already.

Anyone got there brooms ready??

He gave up 3 earned runs in that game and 2 of them should have been unearned it's not often Tori Hunter "i know he was hurt" sucks in the outfield...

10 it is...... grin.gif

I am having the same feeling about Radke tonight, he is due to get hit hard. I hate to say it but I can see the Sox taking 2 of 3 just because the pitching we are throwing this series. Radke and Silva worry me, and Santana is a gimme but going against Contreras is going to be interesting.

question answered. Here is my take with Radke. He annouced his retirement. Weight has been lifted off his shoulders. He doesnt have to think oh I need to pitch good so I dont get traded next season. He now just wants to go out with a bang and is just throwing his heart out, out there.

Radke's success of late has nothing to do with his presumed retirement it's more to do with the cortisone shot he received in his ailing right shoulder ......

Sorry.....

My understanding is that he has a slight tear at the back of his shoulder and is pitching in pain will require surgery and he is just trying to finish out the the year. Good for him. Has been pitching well and winning. Thing about baseball it is a team game. A pitcher can lose it for you and a single player may have a hit to win it for you but a team wins many more games.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
