IFinder and Navionics Premium chip

Whopper Stopper

Question

I have a Lorance 332c that I am going to put in my boat. Today I bought a Navionics Premium North region chip to use in it. Being I don't have the 332 installed yet I decided to put the chip in my IFinder and give it a look. I installed the chip and turned it on and went to the Map Data to change my map choice from Lorance to Navionics. What I found is that none of the maps to choose from is the premium North region. What is the problem? The IFinder is version 1.4.0 is this out dated? I tried all the different options and none of them allowed the chip to work. Also what does it mean when you see a flashing icon on the IFinder screen showing the chip? I figure it either means it is working or it isn't. Anyway thanks for any help or pointers you can give. I have the lakeMaster Mn chip and it works fine in the IFinder. I just need to know how to get the new one to work.

I have had similar problems with navonics with my H2O. Typically the problem has been using the correct map location with the correct lake. I test mine using a target city of center city minnesota then I put the curser on south center lake then go to map data and select south mn lakes. See if that works I have had it on Mille lac and did not see anything and the same with leech however when I was on both lakes it worked fine.

Thanks for the help. I tried it like Eurolarva said and I got Big Marine to show up. So I have to pick different areas from the map Data as I go? The one lake I wanted to see was Cross in Pine City. When I bring that up it is just a blank outline of the lake, is this what you all have? No lines, no depths. When I was trying it yesterday and I brought up Milacs I had no depths or lines, that is why I figured something was wrong. Anyway thanks again.

I get depths and lines. I believe mille lacs is on the NE. If you are seeing the outline of a lake it should have a map for it. When I go to center city the map on the screen is North Center. Then go to menu, map data, map choice,Smn61.nv2

If you contact Lowrance, they will send you a 1.7 upgrade chip for the I finder no charge. Once you load it you have to send it back to them, or they will charge. In order to run the premium maps you should re-program to the new version.
