lawdog
Surprised nobody is talking about the BIG announcement from Ganassi Sunday that he has landed F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya to his team to replace Casey Mears next year. I for one think this will be really interesting. For years the elitists have said how much better the F1 drivers are and so I guess Montoya should really show us silly Americans up huh?!?!?!?!!! I think not. He will have a lot of work to do transitioning to full bodied stock cars, and I don't think anybody is going to be giving him any free passes out there... JohnMickish
I'm going to have to disagree with you. Montoya is of the same caliber driver as Stewart and Gordon. He can win in ANYTHING and if given the right equiptment (I don't know if Ganassi has good equiptment) he will win races. Not next year but maybe after that. If anyone has followed his career thru CART and F1 it would be hard to disagree that he is one of the top 10 drivers living in the world today. I forsee this move setting the global racing world on it's ear. This will open the door for many drivers from around the world to come and show their talents. I see maybe a world rally car driver next. Talk about car control!

Deitz Dittrich
I had the chance to sit in a Chip Ganassi pit once during the Road America cart event...If Montoya is as good a driver as he seemed a person.. he will be just fine!I cant wait to see it..and I wish him the best of luck! Sifty
He is another one of those guys that can drive the wheels off of a car. He has a great background but I would think he would be better with different equpiment.Sifty
