Lottery done

The first lottery is done and you can check online.They screwed up my app. when they entered it and the end result was I was not drawn. Then they didnt even get my preference points correct. Talk about bad luck.Looks like my only buck will be a bow and I will be shooting flat tops with the rifle. Good luck to the rest of you.

Flat top for me this year too. First time I have not gotten a buck in 5 years. Oh well I guess I will be done early.

Sorry to hear that Tom... if I recall correctly though you've had a pretty good streak of buck tags for a non resident, haven't you?

I got what I put in for.. a doe... I try and alternate every other year to do my part to help control the doe population since I don't purchase any extra doe tags...

Yes,I've had very good luck but just dont care for the idea that someone took me out of the game.I will still harvest a buck with my bow and will also take 3-4 does for some friends to eat.Only good thing about the drawing is my son did draw a buck tag so I guess I will just help him do some dragging.Good luck to all this fall.

Chalk up another one that missed the Buck for the first time in a long time? Are they catching on to the "scam"? First choice buck second choice buck... or is it just coincidence?

I'm pretty sure that's what iffwalleyes had down this year and got turned down... either their catching on, or their tightening the buck licesnes up... I talked to another person today who had buck only for both pics and came away without a tag too...

My dad played the game game and drew a buck tag for 13 years.

I don't think it is a scam. I had a good run of buck tags so I am not at all suprised I didn't get it. I want a buck tag first and formost. And if I don't get it I will apply for doe on the following lotteries. I don't believe it ups your chances at all with applying for buck buck though. I probably could just as well leave the second choice blank but I always put the same thing there as in the first choice. For the first go around. They hand out all the buck tags in the first drawing. So pretty much all the buck tages are used up with the first choice.

Sometimes one doesnt like when he doesnt get drawn for the tag he wants,me included.But I will defend the ND Game& Fish for the job they do with thier deer populationand regs.I have hunted in ND for approx 15 years as a non-resident and have had years where I dont get the tag I would like and I do pay very good money for the ones I do recieve.

I will also say for the quality of the hunt and the deer I harvest that waiting a extra year or two for the tag I get is worth every wait.I also hope next year is a golden one.Look out big buck as I still have my bow.
