Coach1310
Hello all. My question is two fold as I have been missing quite a few fish lately. When lindy rigging how much line do you let out? Some people prefer long lining, while some prefer keeping your line to the weight completely vertical. Second question, when you feel a bite how much line to you let out before you reel up and set the hook? I usually do 3 pulling motions,(pulling line off the spool) then reel down feel the fish and set the hook. However I am pulling the hook out of their mouth, losing them half way or reeling up my slack to find that nothing is there. Any help would be great. I am getting a little disgusted!!! thewalleyeguy
I usually let out enough line to form a 45 degree angle when I hold it Straight out. When I get a bite I give hime about 1-2 pulls of line.
