Ely Lake Expert
Has anyone tried glow in the dark rapalas? My friend and I have been doing alot of rapala fishing for walleyes with reasonable success. We have been catching the walleyes between 8 and 11 PM. My buddy calls me earlier and said he was in gander mountain, he then said "I am going to buy one, should I get you one?" I said "no I will buy one after I see you catch fish on yours" I am a bit skeptical about the idea of bright orange glow in the dark. Has anyone tried these with any success? Bobb-o
I have always put glow strips on rapalas if i am planning on casting for them after dark, don't see why the entire lure glowing could hurt, it works for jigs.
Mr. Pike1
Rapalas as a presentation will of course work. I would say the glow in the dark in more marketing then anything else. Walleye have excellent night vision and the movement and flash of the rapala will trigger the strike not the glow color.
