CNY Tim, Can you spot me a 20 dude?

Recommended Posts

CNY Tim,

In the immortal words of Cousin Eddie in Vegas Vacation to Clark Griswold...I ain't seen a beatin' like that since somebody stuck a banana down my shorts and turned a monkey loose! What the heck happened in the windy tonight?

How is this for weird. Tony LaRussa brought his team into Chicago on 6-20-06 which is 20 years to the day that he was released by the Sox and his team lost by the score of 20 to 6. Kind of weird. How bout them Sox, every batter got a hit and scored a run....IN THE THIRD INNING, that has to be some sort of a record. I think Ponson is kind of a tool and I think LaRussa ripped him a new one while taking him out of the game. I think that the umps this year have been horrible when handling bean balls. Only an (Contact Us Please) could not have seen what was happening in the Texas game with Padilla vs the Sox and the same goes for tonight with Ponson. Why do the umps wait till one team hits the other twice and then warn both teams, taking any retribution away from the team who was playing by the rules and rewarding the team that was not playing by the rules. I think the ump should warn only the team who is doing the hitting and if that is not possible then do nothing until the other team retaliates and if that is not possible (and I believe that both of those options are not available) then they should have at least tossed Ponson immediately which is an option they have and then warn both teams. I was glad to see Ozzie and David Riske take care of business by beaning Duncan and that will be the end of it. When asked, Ozzie said he believed LaRussa and Ponson when they said that they did not hit anybody on purpose, but he added, just like Riske didn't hit anybody on purpose...RIGHT! Oh well, tomorrow should be a wild one with Buehrle going up against his favorite team. Mulder used to own the Sox but they beat him like a rented mule tonight. I guess all I can say is...

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES! Windy

It was ugly and Mulder hasn't really upped his trade value at all this season especially over his last 5 starts his era has blown up like the Sox bats in last nights game to an era of 13.50.

But I am sure the Yankees will find away to overpay him on past performance, LOL.

It was all Ponson, like Ozzie said Tony had nothing to do with it. Maybe he should go back to hitting the bottle.

Thank god I wasn't home to watch the game cast of that game I had two softball games and after that went night eye fishing. Well done Windster well done!

Bet it doesn't happen again tonight?

You wanna bet? My gahd it's like 10-3 for the Sox in the 3rd inning! Sorry CNY Tim, you seem like a good guy, but I wouldn't count on your Cards to get beat down in the series two years in a row with that horrid pitching staff. YUCK man! Now you know what the AL Central is all about... good baseball.

"That's impossible, I've never heard of a pitcher giving up 13 earned runs in a game before."

It's rare for a manager to leave a pitcher out there for a beating like that. It goes way beyond common sense. I know they are veterans, but I would think it might shake a pitchers confidence for a very long time.

I feel sorry for Reyes tonight and he hasn't even thrown a pitch yet with Mulder and Marquis stinking it up the last couple of nights. They might as well put the ball on a tee for the Whitesox, it's sad truly sad.

I thought it was tough for Cardinal fans to watch their team take the beatdown the last two nights, tonight their pitcher gives up one freekin' hit to the White Sox and it turns out to be a Thome HR and they lose 1-0!!

OUCH!!!!

I love it when a plan comes together!

Geno, I could kiss you, if I was a fag (Ozzie's word not mine), I say "light in the loafers". I just sit back and enjoy. Geno you could not have teed it up any better. The windy city is mighty clean right about now after all that Cardinal sweeping that went on. I heard that after the second game of the series, Bug Selig was considering putting in the 10 Run Slaugher Rule for the third game, LOL

Then after all the Cardinal Carnage a real game breaks out and of course you know that you don't mess around with Jim (pardon my Jim Croce-ism) In the immortal words of Jack Brickhouse...Back Back Back....HEY HEY! In the current words of the Hawk...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD....YES!

Sorry about the beat down CNY Tim, but the Cardinals just happened to be standing on the tracks when the Windy City Express came rolling by. In the immortal words of Michael Corleone, "It's not personal, it's business". Looks like the redbirds may have to shore up the pitching staff, Mulder to the DL I heard. How bout a swap, we will take the injury proned Albert off your hands for Brandon McCarthy or Javier Vasquez you pick??? Think it over, take your time.

Hey Windy,

1st thing, I love the quote you used from Francis "Psycho" in the movie Stripes, its a classic I love that movie.

2nd What happened to the Sox last night, they only scored 1 run?? All I can say is the AL Central has to be the toughest division in baseball. The Twinks win 9 of 10 and only gain about 1 game on the Sox and Tigers. I think when all is said and done the Sox and Tigers will be fighting for the division...

The AL Central is the best division in baseball, but ESPN will keep feeding us Red Sox, Yankees, Clemons and Barry Bonds until we hurl. Midwest get's no respect.

Congratulations on a well deserved sweep Windy, hat's off!

Tell me about it Wild, pretty impressive stuff coming from the midwest but like CNY Tim says, all we get is the east coast dump all the time. Everytime a Yankee or BoSox farts we get twenty minutes of coverage from Peter Gammons on ESPN. They consider the midwest "flyover country" the space you fly over on your way from the right coast to the left coast. CNY Tim, could you get your guys to "man up" in the next day or two, would it kill you guys to knock the Kitties down a notch? Sox have 8 in a row, Contreras has 16 consecutive wins without a loss and my beloved Pale Hose are still a half game out of first. How bout that Scotty Pods, with the granny off of Pettite. Our Cy Young smelled like dung last night. Cards work there way back to tie the game and immediateely Carpenter gives it all back. When playing the AL Central you have to score runs to win and they just aren't scoring enough. Style points don't count. Were trying to scratch and Judy and the AL central plays monster mash ball. It's sad truly sad but I have to say that the National League has been playing like double A so far in these interleague games which I'm sure whomever represents the National League in the series will be swept by whatever AL Central team does the representing from the American League.

CNY Tim,

Grannys are getting cheap here on the South Side, two days in a row. I know how you feel when your team goes out and scores a few and then your pitcher gives them right back the next half of an inning. For us it is usually Garland who does that. Time for the redbirds to MAN UP tomorrow and knock some of the fur off the Kitties, Agreed? MAN LAW

I guess it is only up there in the land of 10,000 lakes where 16 is higher than 18. To put it in language you may understand, if you caught a 16" walleye and your friend caught an 18" walleye, which walleye would be longer? YO-Han had 16 wins last year, Garland had 18, which is bigger? Think it over in the next few days, ask for some help from some of your smarter friends up there and get back to me. We will be waiting here in Chicago for your answer.
