0 18 inch Crappie
I have seen people use extenion cord holders the orange thing you wrap a cord on. Even seen a guy this weekend using a board with 2 little V's cut in each end. Me I just pile it up on the floor.

0 CatManLee
I have noticed that certain ropes tangle much easier than others. I prefer heaver ropes with really tight weaving. The rope I have for instance hasn't tangled yet, and I just throw the anchor rope in the boat when fishing. When the anchor isn't in use, I wrap the rope around the anchor. You just have to remember to "prepare" the anchor and unwrap it before you NEED to throw it out! I'd say if your rope tangles easy, get a different one, trust me a good tangle free rope, helps keep the cussing to a minimum. Oh by the way, I have a big home made richtor anchor and wrap my rope around the top of that, it might not work as good for storage if you have a digger type anchor. 0 hanson
Milk Crate from the back of your local grocery store. Hmmm.. did I say that?? All the anchor rope gets tossed into the milk crate with the anchor on top. Good quality rope is a must, at least 100' in length. Proper aspect ratio on letting out anchor rope is 3:1 I believe. Which means you need at least 60' of rope in 20' of water for your anchor to get a good grab! Short length of chain is a definite plus!
0 Fireguy
Rescue Crews that use rope keep them in a bag. just stuff the rope in don't try to coil it. It always comes out unsnarled.
