how long till opener?!!

Can we get one of those opener tickers for waterfowl....is it too early to get the ich?! Guess I can start repainting up some of my deks, the blind needs some work too. Grrr...gonna be a long summer.

I am guessing the 30th or the 7th. I swear I have a disorder I think about duck hunting and I get the ich and I pull all my stuff out and clean it and just get ready. but ready for what duck hunting is not in a few months then I get sad. Its really weird dont ask me why. Later

And here I thought I was the only one with the itch. I've alread been driving my hunting buddys nuts with duck talk. They still seem to be focusing on fishing . I guess fishing will have to do until it's time to sit in the blind and I can drive them nuts with talk about deer hunting or ice fishing or fishing the rainy next spring....

hey i too have the itch but it's a really big one. because my 21st birthday is on the 2nd of oct. and you know where i will be... not at the bar i will be in the slough. i think all my friends are going nutz from me talking about the opener and how quick it's coming. can't wait.

I dont think many people who turn 21 will go to the bar in the mornings anyways so you can go later at night with your hunting buddies or whoever.

It can't get here soon enough for me! I am real excited at the possibility of a split season, I am all for it. It will be interesting to see if it gets shot down or passsed. As for now I guess it's tme to work on decoys and blinds and dream of the hunts ahead!

I've been seen laying in the new ground blind in the yard lately...

I'm sure the neighbors are wondering where the geese are coming from when I practice on my calls everyday too. My dog thinks its go time and gets all wound up when I do this stuff...

I've been gettin the itch more every day. Fishing up in canada I've been looking at some spots to try hunting up on Rainy. Never hunted canada before, but we got some grain fields lined up and got a place or 2 in mind for ducks on the lake. Season for both ducks and geese opens beginning of Sept. so I can get in a couple extra weeks for ducks This of course only adds to the misery of waiting thru hot summer months for some snow and sleet to bring in big northern birds. Just gotta keep fishin during the day and dream about sittin in the blind at nite.
