Looking for a graph

WalleyeWarrior

Question

Earlier this year, I asked for recommendations on handheld GPS units. I got alot of responses for H20C, purchased it, and now am extremely pleased. I now am in the market for a new graph for my boat. I don't use my boat alot so I don't want to spend a ton of money. I am looking for recommendations for units that are less than $400. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Two Units I would consider are..

Eagle Fishmark 480 = $200 Best Graph for the money IMO.

Lowrance X125 = $299 It's the same thing as the Eagle with a little more peak to peak power.

I agree with the Fishmark 480. I just bought a 320 and love it. They are the same graph the 480 just has a bit better resolution if I understand it correctly. Got a good deal on it too, Dick's had them on sale for $130, maybe they still do?

Eagle FM 480 and Lowrance x125 are really good recommendations. You might want to consider color though, I think you would be much happier. The Lowrance x102c is a little over $400 but is an excellent unit. I don't know the model but Eagle has a color graph that is a little less. I'd look at color before I looked at monochrome.

I do not know of any disadvantages to color units, other than they can be a little harder to see in the sunlight and if you have polarized glasses on. I would go for as many pixels as possible, but I have heard some guys say that you can get by with a little lower pixel count in a color graph and still decipher all the info.
