Vexilar/Lowrance

Does anyone know if there will be an interferece problem if I mount a Vexilar FL18 high speed 12 degree transducer next to my Lowrance X-85 transducer in back of the boat?

I've used the same combo in my boat and I had some interference problems. Especially in depths greater than 15 ft.

They both have different frequencies and the interference is minimal in both boats I have owned with Lowrance/Vexilar transducers near each other. I had a high speed and bow mount ducers on both boats.

Sometimes I noticed water clarity/lake bottom would affect interference. One lake it was noticable, another lake no problems. Kinda strange, but my observations.

i have yet to try them together again but will this winter, i will try the suggested cures and hopefully it will work. also i was in 130 - 160 - feet of water when it happened so that REALLY doesn't help at all.

I dont think its going to matter what units you decide to put next to each other... I think your going to have some interfierence problems...as to the extent I'm not sure.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I get interference with my LX3 and my X51, so I usually end up turning it off (x51). Yeah it's workable, I could leave them both on.
