nluchau
I have been searching online all day to find out who manufactured this boat. Thanks in advance. Nick
musky hunter
Northwoods boats are manufactured by Smokercraft. You'll probably find that the Northwoods, while a good boat, is a step down from the Smokercraft. Structurally I believe they are identical, but it's litle things like cup holders and carpeting that separate the models. I currently own a Smokercraft Ulitma 175, and had a Northwood Pro Tourney previously. It wasn't until my Northwoods was damaged in an auto accident that I found this out while trying to settle the claim.
Chubby
These are in fact made by Smokercraft and are a private label brand exclusively for Link Rec.
Ralph Wiggum
We've got a Northwoods Pontoon. Bare bones (no gauges, no stereo), but nice, otherwise.

Northlander
I had a Northwoods for many years and although it was bare bones it was structurally a sound boat. The design wasnt great but it held up to a lot of fishing and abuse.
papasoco
Love my Northwoods. I do agree that there are some design problems but overall, for the price, I couldn't be happier. 16 1/2 ft, live well, console, plenty of storage space and enough walk around room to not feel cramped. Wish I could give the same praise to the Evinrude on the back though...
primetime49
NORTHWOODS BOATS HAVE BEEN MADE BY COMPANIES SUCH AS STARCRAFT,SMOKERCRAFT,GRUMAN,FORESTER,AND WHEN YOUGET YOUR TITLE YOUWILL BE HAPPILY SURPRISED THAT YOU GET THAT NAME ON THE TITLE.FOR A FEW YEARS AS A NORTHWOODS DEALER WE WOULD ADVERTISE THAT WITH THOSE NAMES YOU WERE GETTING ONE HECK OF A DEAL.SOMETIMES THERE SPECS WERE EVEN BETTER THAN THE NAMESAKES OWN BOATS.I HAVE HANDLED OVER 900 BOATS IN 25 YEARS AND THE PEOPLE WE SOLD NORTHWOODS BOATS TO WERE USUALLY OUR MOST SATISFIED CUTOMERS.THERE IN NO PRIDE IN PAYING TO MUCH IS THERE. Sergeant Slabber
Nick~ I'm glad you brought up this question. I'm also looking at a Northwoods 19' with a 4.3 Merc Cruiser. Seems like a real nice boat for the asking price, but I wasn't sure who the manufacturer really was. This is a big boat, but I think it will work out nice for a fish/ family rig. nluchau
Well I made the decision today and bought the Northwood. It should be a blast to finally get out in my first boat. Hope your boat search is a fun one. Some say they are nice boats. I think so anyway
