I'm new to the area and never really fished rivers before for bass. I went to Wabasha today and water was high and moving fast. Temps were between 56 and 58. Seems like to me there are quite a few areas to target, ie main channel, backwater. Only managed 3 little brown fish. Any ideas what might work?

That is SUCH a cool area! I don't know anything about this area.. but plan on going there a few times this summer myself... perhaps staying in Lake City at HokSiLa Park.. or maybe Merrick State Park in WI... if I were you I'd post this question in a more related forum.

That would be the "Mississippi-River Pools_4-11" forum.. I know I'll be checking that forum and posting a few questions before we go down there.

I have not been down to that area, so I dont have any advice for you. I just wanted to welcome you to the board and bring this back to the top so that maybe somebody who does have some answers can give it to you.
