Cannot update software on LMS332C

trying to update my LMS332C software from 1.2 to 1.6. Followed all the instructions from the lowrance HSOforum but after popping in the SD card, nothing happens. No auto update at all.

I had already updated the LG2000 GPS module as instructed by Lowrance. That update went smoothly. What is the matter?

What size SD card are you using?

I would format the card (which erases it completely)and try to download it again. The program is only intended to run once to prevent re-running the update each time you put the card in you reader slot. There may be an issue if you have your previous update program on the card from the lcg gps module. I haven't looked at lowrance's HSOforum but sometimes you need to get a previous update before the newest one can be used, because some of the updates are built up from the previous version. Also back up all your waypoints on mapcreate before doing any upgrades.
